The Kisengo Foundation (Fondation Kisengo) was created as non-profit organization on November 5, 2011, in Lubumbashi, capital of Katanga Province in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The organization’s Registered Office and Administrative Headquarters is at 1932 avenue Boulevard M’siri in the administrative district of Kampemba, which is part of the city of Lubumbashi in Katanga province.

The Foundation has the following objectives:

  • To contribute to the education in Kisengo;

  • To contribute to the health in Kisengo;

  • To contribute to the sanitation in Kisengo; and

  • To develop roads and bridges in Kisengo

The Foundation is supported by financial contributions from YAGEO Group, MMR and MRI.

YAGEO Group is a leading global supplier of electronic components headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan. They are creators and collaborators of electrical innovations and solutions that power the world forward.

Mining Mineral Resources S.P.R.L. (“MMR”) was founded in 2009 for the exploration and mining of Tin, Tantalum and Tungsten.  It is based in Lubumbashi, Katanga Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo (“DRC”).

Minerals Resources International AG (MRI) is a Zug based Swiss firm involved primarily in the production and upgrading of raw material feed for consumers of Tantalum. 

The Foundation is managed by a Board of Directors. Membership is as follows:

  • Chetan Chug - MRI Chairman

  • Johnny Boan - YAGEO Group
